As a marketing specialist, most recently with a focus on events and conferences, but also in corporate and business to business communications, public relations, crisis and issues management and marketing research, my focus is on helping clients to communicate with their customers as widely and effectively as possible.
Projects undertaken include:
Account director, heading up a team of over 50 people, to deliver UK Trade & Investment’s largest annual event – TechWorld – in 2006 through to 2011
Account director and communications consultancy for the launch of a new approach to the treatment of Personality Disorder via a ten-venue regional roadshow followed by the first National Congress – on behalf of the Department of Health, Mental Health Team
Account director for the UKTI Health Informatics Inward Mission at the ICC in Birmingham in 2010 when the volcanic ash in Iceland interrupted many international flights and a general election prevented us from publicising the event – and we still hit all our targets and were reappointed in 2011
Event strategy director supporting development of the content and programme for three annual National College for School Leadership staff conferences
Account director for around 1,000 events and nearly 20,000 delegates for the National Diploma Support Programme on behalf of the Specialist Schools & Academies Trust
Account director for Ufi/learndirect with responsibility for event delivery of the regional and national Annual learndirect Achievement Awards to celebrate the achievements of learners, employers and learndirect learning centres
